It was written by Max Martin, Anton Zavslaski and Savan Kotecha, with additional writting of Onika Maraj on her verse. It was written for Bieber's album Believe, in where it's featured tenth. The music video was released on October 12, 2012 and as written and directed by Bieber, alongside Jon Chu.

The video features Bieber at a party with most scenes taking place at a swimming pool at Raging Waters in San Dimas, California. Minaj makes an appearance during her verse in the song standing in the water, rapping alongside Bieber.
The video premiered on Vevo on October 12, 2012. It opens by stating that in October 2012, 3 hours of personal footage was stolen from Justin. It was then illegally uploaded by an anonymous blogger. Bieber wrote the video's storyline himself and co-directed the video itself with Jon Chu.
The video racked up a huge 10.6 million views in its first 24 hours of being online. In doing so Justin surpassed the previous VEVO record held by One Direction's "Live While We 're Young,"which claimed 8.24 million views within its first day. The video already lost the record.
