Believe is the third studio album by Canadian recording artist Justin Bieber, released by Island Records on June 15, 2012. He recorded more than twice as many songs as he needed for Believe and picked only his favorites.

On January 28, 2011, Justin Bieber on Twitter seems that had teased the title of his next studio album: "sometimes I can't be everything everyone wants me to be... but I can try... and I can #pray...and I can #believe....and I can #NEVERSAYNEVER. It wasn't until April 27, 2011 when he posted another tweet with the same hashtag: "been writing alot of songs on the road. excited to just get this music out later this year and record this summer. #BELIEVE #newmusic". In the following months of 2011 Justin continued posting tweets that he was in the studio working on new music with the hashtag #BELIEVE.
In August, Justin confirmed that his next album would be his christmas album Under The Mistletoe. At that moment the album had no official title. Even knowing that Under The Mistletoe was his next project, Justin continued posting tweets talking about how excited he was and about the ideas he had for his album Believe. Once Under the Mistletoe was released, on January 10, 2012, Justin posted a tweet saying that he was returning to the studio to work on Believe. He continued posting tweets teasing the album even after the release of the first single "Boyfriend".
On April 27, 2012, Justin Bieber revealed the album cover, both version, standard and deluxe with the hashtag #BELIEVEalbumCover. On May 20 before the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, he revealed the album tracklist via Twitter.

Justin Bieber recorded 40 songs and wrote or co-wrote on almost all of them.[1]
Release[]
Believe was released in certain countries around the world on June 15, 2012, such as Germany, Sweden, Ireland and many European countries, as well as in Oceania countries such as Australia and New Zealand. In the UK it was released on June 18th, while in the United States and Canada it was released on the 19th. In Japan and somd Asian countries on June 20th.

- In addition to Swift, Bieber was also trying to make something happen with Maroon 5 leading man Adam Levine. "We talked with Adam Levine about doing stuff," Braun recalled. "And he wanted too, but with everything else, we could just never get the studio time in together."

Commercial performance[]
Believe debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 374,000. It was Justin's fourth number-one album. It dropped two spots in its second week to number three with sales of 115,000 copies.
The album sold 57,000 copies in its first week in Canada, debuting atop the Canadian Albums Chart. In the following week, the album fell to number two selling 18,000 copies, behind Linkin Park's Living Things. It also debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart with sales of 38,115 copies, making Justin Bieber the second youngest male solo artist ever to reach number one.
Certifications[]
Believe get the RIAA Gold and Platinum certification on July 31, 2012 for selling 500,000 and 1,000,000 copies. In May 20, 2016 recived 2x and 3x Multi-Platinum for celling 3,000,000 millions copies.
