Chance The Rapper is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and philanthropist.

On 13 April 2014, Chance the Rapper invited Justin Bieber to join him onstage. He performed “Confident” with Chance during his afternoon set. During the Purpose World Tour Justin invited Chance at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Chance stepped out to perform his verse on “Confident”.
Chance The Rapper compared Justin Bieber’s Justice to the late Michael Jackson’s 1979 classic Off The Wall. Chance made the comment during the YouTube premiere of Holy. “I feel like we should talk about how fire your album is,” he told Bieber. “I will say, this is no cap at all, I said this to you in Chicago, it’s some of the best music I’ve heard, period. It reminds me of when Michael Jackson made Off The Wall. Everybody’s who’s listening … I promise you, it’s literally groundbreaking music.”[1]
Chance first performed “Holy” together with Justin on Saturday Night Live, then at the The Freedom Experience and again at Made in America.
In December 2020, Chance opened up about his close ties with Bieber during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “Me and Justin are close. We're a year apart, we got married at the same age, kinda like gone through a lot of that stuff together.”
“Both of us, our secret sauce is Jesus. Justin doesn’t fake the funk. He goes to Jesus with his problems, he goes to Jesus with his successes. He calls me just to talk about Jesus.”[2]
On 14 May 2021, Justin Bieber flew to Chicago to support Chance the Rapper at the premiere of his concert film “Magnificent Coloring World”.
