Background

Axident started playing the beat to ‘Company’ and realized JHart had already written a song for it and went to the next track. Poo Bear was like, ‘Wait, go back to that. I really like that one.’ JHart was like, ‘Shit, I had already written a song over this track.' Then he thought, 'If he’s inspired by it, let’s just go for it. I’ll do my best to get the other song out of my head.’ And they ended up writing ‘Company.’ on May 15, 2015They ended re-producing the track so it sounds completely different, but the original has entirely different lyrics. It was called ‘Spend The Night On You.’

In the workshop "The Creative Process with Rory Kramer" by the Canon Creator Lab, Kramer said, that he started editing the music video for Company on his own initiative from material that he had recorded at the time. When he showed his work to Bieber and Scooter, the two were thrilled and wanted it to be the official music video for Company.
