He met Justin Bieber through a mutual friend named Jamen Najjar at Najjar's house in Atlanta. Bieber was live on Ustream when he walked in. They exchanged numbers and kept in contact.[1][2] They continued to hang out and Lil Twist appeared in Baby's music video.
They started working in the studio, sending recorded stuff through their MacBook and then Justin was like, 'Yo, bro, we should do a mixtape. Let's go.' In November 2010, Lil Twist told MTV that he and Justin Bieber were working a mixtape titled Best of Both Worlds.[3][4]
Rapper Lil Twist was driving Justin Bieber's Ferrari when it was pulled over on 1 January 2013 ... moments before a paparazzo was hit by another car and killed.[5] Ever since photos of Justin Bieber smoking marijuana emerged on January 4, Lil Twist was seen as a bad influence. Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ ... JB and Twist have become tight ... and have been smoking together on a number of other occasions.[6]
On July 11, 2013, Lil Twist was arrested for DUI while driving Justin Bieber's Fisker Karma in Calabasas, California.[7]
