Mike Posner hinted that Justin was going to be on his album in June 2013.[2] It was planned to be released on the album Pages but the record label ended up shelving it.[3][4]

Music Mafia released a snippet on their site on June 4, 2018.[5] The full song leaked on LEAKTHIS in February 2020.[6]
