The Hold On music video was released on March 5, 2021, along with the single. The music video begins with an intro, Justin on a motorcycle chase with the police, where one of them shoots him. The title of the song appears, the name of the director Colin Tilley and the video clip begins. Justin Bieber's role in the music video is of a man with his partner who suffers from cancer. Where in scenes you can see where the couple (Christine Ko) leave the hospital with the test of the disease. Justin's character has a garage sale selling things from his house to pay for his partner's treatment. The garage sale is not very good and does not raise enough money for the operation, the Justin character as a last option decides to rob a bank. In preparation for the robbery. When the character arrives at the bank on a motorcycle, he is nervous. Upon arrival, he leaves a paper for the cashier that says "I don't wanna hurt anybody but I had to", the woman gives him the money but presses the emergency button. When Justin leaves the with the money, the alarm sounds and security intercepts him, Justin pushes him and runs out breaking the window; He runs with the motorcycle and the police start chasing him. In that moment the footage of the intro where the police chase, where the policeman shoots him and Justin leaves the place with his motorcycle is there. After that scene, Justin arrives at the hospital with the shot and lies down on the bed where his partner is, he drops gun and was a toy gun, the police realize that and do not decide to arrest him at this moment.
