“We’ve been doing a bunch of acoustic material,” Simpson explains. “He called me up a couple of months back, and said, ‘Mate, I see you’ve been getting really good at guitar!’ So we got together that night, actually in L.A., and wrote some great riffs, and ended up writing a really amazing song together.

“The stuff I have with Justin is all very much based around romance and women,” Cody reveals. “We were both in a place where we both had broken up with our girls, and we wanted to get all of that out.” Those tracks will be released eventually, but there’s no concrete date at this point. “We promised fans an album in November, but there’s so much going on that we have to push it to next year,” he laments. “But they will be hearing more, that’s a guarantee. JB x CS is an unreleased album by Cody Simpson & Justin Bieber. They made a collaboration acoustic album in 2014.

However plans changed after their first single "Home To Mama", that was just a taster of what will be on the album. They both decided to go their own way and never release the album. There was already made a photoshoot for their collaboration, but in January 2015 they finally have decided that they won’t release their duet album.[1]

In 2016, Cody did mention in a recent interview that when he goes back to LA, he's going to finish the album that him and Justin were working on back in 2014.

“Then I had to go over to Europe, but we got back together when I got back and wrote 12 songs in seven days. We stayed up all night, every night, slept in the day, working until 6 a.m., and we literally wrote an entire project together. You’ll be hearing some music from it soon. He’s been a good mate of mine, helping me get my music out there and exposed, and this album will really help me with showcasing my guitar, songwriting and vocal skills.”[2]

And it won’t take too long.”[3]
