Many templates are in use on our wiki, these are only some of the most important and commonly used ones. Category:Templates should cover all templates in the wiki, categorized into various subcategories. Additionally, the Template namespace (found from Special:AllPages) always has all templates in the wiki, sorted alphanumerically.

Wiki templates provide a means to insert the same content over and over on pages. This saves editors the hassle of duplicating the same text multiple times and also helps ensure consistency. Templates are generally shown with the format required to use the template (e.g. {{stub}}). Clicking the template name takes you to the template's page, where you can see what it looks like and how it is used.

If you see templates on other wikis that you are interested in using here as well, they can be copy-pasted over, or taken from Wikia Templates. Wikipedia templates may be copied with the proper acknowledgment, but some need tweaking to work properly on Wikia, so use a Wikia one if possible. When adding a new template, make sure to add instructions to a subpage using {{documentation}} or the template page itself inside "<noinclude>" tags.

Notices[]

Notices help provide context information about the article itself. However, they do not appear on mobile and are useful to hint to other editors if the article needs some help. Notices should be the first template appearing in the article, before the infobox.

If an article's title is unconfirmed it should be marked with {{Unconfirmed}}, or if it's primarily based on rumors it should be marked with {{Rumored}}. Articles related to an upcoming event or release should be marked with {{Upcoming}}.

{{Stub}} and {{Delete}} are the built-in notices, and should be included on all pages with little content, and pages that are no longer useful. If you have several articles that have similar or identical names, you may wish to create a "disambiguation" page at the main article name, with the articles taking an extra phrase in brackets afterwards. For example: Changes album with a link to Changes (song). Using the {{disambiguation}} template marks an article as a disambiguation page, adding a banner that allows you to include links to related pages.
