This is why I do what I do, being able to inspire those kids, and to see them smile feels great.

– JB on Make-A-Wish"

The Make-A-Wish foundation is a non-profit organization founded in the United States that arranges experiences (described as "wishes") to children with life-threatening medical conditions. In order to qualify for a wish, the child must be between the ages of 3 to 17 at the time of referral. It is the child's physician that ultimately decides if a child is eligible.

According to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Bieber’s involvement with Make-A-Wish started in December 2009 in Los Angeles when he granted his first wish. Since then, he has granted a wish at nearly every tour stop where he visits with wish kids and their families, takes photographs and signs autographs before they attend his concert. The tickets, which provide the wish kids and their families prime seating, are generously purchased by Bieber.[1][2]

In 2010, Justin featured four Make-A-Wish children in his music video for "Pray," and in 2011 he received the Make-A-Wish Foundation® Chris Greicius Celebrity Award for outstanding dedication to wish granting.[3]

On August 10, 2013, Justin Bieber granted his 200th wish for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, becoming the first recording artist to reach that milestone. Justin is second in holding the title for the most wishes granted by a single individual.
