Justin Bieber Wiki

Off My Face” is a song by Justin Bieber from his 6th studio album Justice.

Background[]

This was a song where Leah Haywood brought in the concept. “I had been thinking about how I loved the idea of ‘off my face,’ which is an Ozzy term meaning very drunk. I loved the polarisation of ‘off my face, in love with you’ and ‘out of my head, into you,’ so I brought that lyric and Jake started playing the riff on the guitar and the melody just flowed out of him. It was written in about an hour.”

About a year later, Jake’s publisher, Benjamin Groff, sent the song to Scooter Braun, who sent it to Justin. Justin freaked out, and they get a call asking for the stems because he’s recording it the day after in the studio.[1]

Lyrics[]

[Verse 1]
One touch and you got me stoned
Higher than I've ever known
You call the shots and I follow
Sun rise but the night still young
No words, but we speak in tongues
If you let me, I might say too much

[Chorus]
Your touch blurred my vision
It's your world, and I'm just in it
Even sober I'm not thinkin' straight
'Cause I'm off my face, in love with you
I'm out my head, so into and I don't know how you do it
But I'm forever ruined by you, ooh, ooh, ooh

[Verse 2]
Can't sleep 'cause I'm way too buzzed
Too late, now you're in my blood
I don't hate the way you keep me up

[Chorus]
Your touch blurred my vision
It's your world, and I'm just in it
Even sober I'm not thinkin' straight
'Cause I'm off my face, in love with you
I'm out my head, so into and I don't know how you do it
But I'm forever ruin by you, ooh, ooh, ooh

[Bridge]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh

[Chorus]
'Cause I'm off my face, in love with you
I'm out my head, so into you and I don't know how you do it
But I'm forever ruined by you, ooh, ooh, ooh

[Outro]
By you, ooh, ooh, ooh
