Rock in Rio is a brazilian music festival. It is also celebrated in some cities around the world such as Lisbon, Madrid or Las Vegas.

Justin Bieber was the headliner artist on September 4, 2022 as part of the Justice World Tour celebrated in Rio de Janeiro.

Rock in Rio is the biggest music festival in South America and one of the largest in the world. It takes place mainly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, then the event was held in different cities around the world. With the best rock artists of the moment as attractions. Like Queen, AC/DC or Iron Maiden. Over the years, more popular artists from different music genres joined the event as a principal headliners.

There were rumors that Justin would be in the 2021 edition, an edition that was postponed due to covid-19. Until it was confirmed by the event organization for the 2022 edition in Rio de Janeiro. The organizers confirmed that Justin Bieber was one of the 3 most requested artists to be part of any edition of the event.

General public tickets sold out in 1 hour and 28 minutes on September 22, 2021. The fastest sale in the history of Rock in Rio.

Rumors[]

Given the rumors of the cancellation of the Justice World Tour, prior to the concert, Justin's show at the festival was at stake. Justin arrived in Brazil the same day as the concert, while his crew had arrived a few days before, albeit without their dancers.

A Brazilian journalist had commented that Justin did not want his concert to be broadcast on television. However, he replied that they had reached an agreement so that it would happen. He also commented that Justin had banned people from using the zip line that runs across the stage. The zip line was only used by its photographer Rory Kramer.

Justin Bieber performed for more than 100,000 people, where he was seen by more than 1.6 million viewers online on the MultiShow page. It was not only the most viewed concert online of the 2022 edition, but also the most viewed in Rock in Rio's history.
