This record was the last song The Audibles did with Justin after PYD for Journals. Justin told them he wanted one more record that had a mid tempo vibe. The beat was done in an half hour. This one was recorded at Justin’s house and finished up in Mexico. Bieber wanted to make a record that showed his love for his beliebers. They weren’t too sure if this one was going to make the album because they thought they missed the cut off with the label, but Justin pushed for it. "Swap It Out" is Justin's favorite song of the album.[3][4]
